Funny Captions

Bonney the Witch slams into a tree on her way home form a party. She drank a 6-pack on her way back home, celebrating Halloween night. This is what you shouldn't do.

Jason sits on a bench for a few minutes. He fought the fire all day. Ugh.. hard work, take a rest.

Poor Jeremy screams in pain, he got the flu shot, and just got owned by the school nurse. His friends laughed in the back because jeremy bragged he wasn't scared of needles.

Academic Shoot Reflection

1. It was awkward in the classes when we walked in there. Some people didn't want us to take pictures of them, so it was hard.
2. I would think too much about how many times i would click the shoot button. It was loud and 2 classes we walked in were really quiet and they were just looking at us.
3. If i were to do this again what i would do differently is go to classes that are actually doing work. And also keep in mind that i had to take pictures of the 6 rules of photography.
4. The things i would keep the same would be taking lots of pictures all at once so i don't have to miss anything.
5. The easiest rule to achieve would be simplicity because you just have to take a picture of one object.
6. The hardest rule to follow if i were able to do this again would be... balance.
7. Im not really confused about any rule, i get all of them and know what they mean and how to work with them.

Class Mural

1. It we would take pictures of stuff about us.. i think it should be brands.
2. Yes it should be optional, some people don't have phones, and might need them to take they're pictures.
3. I would put the mural in the cafeteria, everybody sees it there.

Africa

1. I thought these photographs were beautiful. The photographer did an amazing job capturing those moments.
3. This photo shows a lot of giraffes standing and some laying down. Its really pretty how the light goes through the clouds and hits the grown with the sun rays. This was my favorite photo because it just really liked how the sun rays hit the floor so beautiful.
4. Lines, Balance, and Simplicity.
a. He used a Pentax 6711 with only two fixed lenses.
b. He fell in love with the animals from this movie he was directing in 1995, so decided there was a way to achieve his thoughts about photography.
c. He was interested in showing the animals simply in the state of being.
d. "You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close".

Academic Shoot

Simplicity

  • In my opinion, i followed the rule pretty good for this photo.
  • This picture is simplicity because its showing just the object. There is nothing else in the photograph but the soccer ball.
  • Yes it is very specific to people what this picture is.

Merger

  • i did an okay job taking this picture.
  • The subject in this photo is the girl standing. What made it into a merger was the paper she held up to her face and the top of her head and the rest of her legs were cut off.
  • I think if i were to look at this photo it would be clear to me of what it was.
  • i think i would of been a much better photo if the girl in the picture knew what was going on.

Lines

  • I think i did a good job following this rule.
  • This is an example of Lines because when you look at this photo your eyes follow the lines to the end. Also the sidewalk is going straight and making straight lines.
  • Yes, its clear to people what the subject is.

Framing

  • I did a really good job following this rule.
  • This is and example of framing, because the tree, and the building are framing the people in the picture.
  • I don't know if it would be clear to people what this picture is about if they were to look at it. It just looks like two girls sitting down, not that hard to understand.

Balance

  • In this picture i did and okay job.
  • This is a balance subject. If you were to fold the picture in half, it would balance out because the guy in the back is smaller than the guy in the front.
  • This picture is just two people looking the same way, I'm pretty sure if someone were to look at it they would get it.

Rule of Thirds

  • i think i did an amazing job taking this picture.
  • This photo is an example of The Rule of Thirds. This guy is standing where the thirds should be.
  • I think it is clear to people what this picture is.

Jostens Yearbook Contest

The Story
Its showing that kids took they're time time to feed homeless people. To me says that kids had the time to get together and put some food for people that don't have it like we do.
Action and Emotion
The guy is picking on his teacher, it shows that kids get along well with they're teachers, and enjoy time with them as well as the teachers.

Filling the Frame
The frame is filled with the two girls doing an experiment, the photographer did a good job taking the picture at a precice time.

The photo i picked is called.. "Up all night (What students do to get ahead)". Its a photo with three pictures next to each other. The first one has hands holding a Starbucks coffee cup. The second one is four fingers trying to keep some guys eyes open. And the last picture, shows someone holding a handful of pills.

1. The reason i picked this photo was because i can relate to it. I also work and sometimes wish i could have that.
2. Simplicity would be an example of this photograph.

1. i think i would take pictures in the gym.
2. I would like to go take pictures in Mr. Waters class.
3. i would take a good look of whats going around me, and capture those good moments.

Avoiding Mengers

In this photo it cut off half of the guy and didn't show they're whole body.

Fraiming

In this photo, the window is making a good frame for whats happening outside.

Balance

if you were to fold the picture in half it would balance out... its a good way of balance.

Lines

This shows lines, and catches your eye to where the lines are directed to.

The Rule of Thirds

This show the guy and the truck in the place where the rule of thirds should be.

Simplicity

This is a good picture of simplicity because it shows the center of the picture.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

A. On the first of april someone had messed with the picture. They took of one of the female cabinets and made all of them male. The photographer got mad.

B. This type of photo is unethical, because they are taking your work and messing it up. In my opinion its not fair at all cause you did all the work and not getting credit for it.

A. The first photo with the soldier is the most unethical picture to me because its so fake, you can tell that they clearly put two pictures together to make one.

B. The least unethical to me.. would be the one with the girls teeth. Because, you can't really tell they're fixed and it kind of doing the girl a favor.
